VERTICAL DANCE

Authenticity - Connection - Environment

The intensive vertical dance trainings that Daphnée undertook in 2022 with Look-Up Arts company in Quebec, as well as with Magalie Lanriot in Portugal, ignited an infinite passion for this aerial art and a strong desire to contribute to the flourishing of this medium among the performing arts in Quebec.  In June 2023, she conceived and presented her first original vertical dance piece with her collective “Lune & L’autre”: À toutes les choses dans le ciel (To All Things in the Sky).

Danse verticale

À toutes les choses dans le ciel (To all things in the skyaddresses distance: the one that separates us from the stars and the one that separates us here, in the heart of our relationships. The work, filled with poetry, provides a fresh perspective on the movement of a body renewing its lexicon through weightlessness.
